Renting an EV as an Accident Replacement Vehicle

How evee supports accident replacement vehicle rentals, including quotes for insurers, invoicing, and supporting documentation.

evee is happy to support renters who require an accident replacement vehicle. We have facilitated this process numerous times and are ready to work with both you and your insurer to ensure a smooth experience.

Requesting a quote

Insurers typically require a quote before approving an accident replacement vehicle. To request a quote, please contact our team via the chat icon at the bottom of this page. Provide your intended rental dates and the vehicle you wish to book, and we will issue a quote for your insurer.

Please note that quotes are based on the current booking request and are subject to change if the rental duration is modified.

Invoicing process

Because accident replacement bookings often change (e.g., repairs finish early or the booking is extended), evee typically provides a final tax invoice only upon the conclusion of your rental. This ensures the invoice accurately reflects the final duration and any additional charges, such as extra mileage, tolls, or charging costs.

If your insurer requires an invoice before the rental concludes, we can issue an interim invoice. This will be subject to final adjustment upon the return of the vehicle to account for any early returns, extensions, or other applicable charges.

Supporting documentation

While waiting for your final invoice, you can supply your insurer with the receipts sent automatically from Stripe (our payments partner). These receipts, along with your banking transaction records, are usually sufficient for insurers to review your claim.

If your insurer requires further documentation, please let us know and we will review the possibility of issuing an interim invoice.
