Emergencies and roadside assistance

If You Purchased Roadside Assistance

In the event of an emergency, please contact NRMA's assistance line on 1300 369 349.

When you call, please have the vehicle's registration number ready. You may also need to mention that you are renting the vehicle through evee.

Please keep your host informed of the situation and provide updates as they become available.

If you selected Roadside Assistance during checkout, evee will cover the cost of eligible roadside services, including:

  • Vehicle breakdown

  • Flat tyre assistance (installation of spare tyre, if available)

  • 12-volt battery failure or jump-start

  • Vehicle lockout

  • Towing to the nearest safe location or repair facility

  • EV battery depletion recovery

Important: What Roadside Assistance Does Not Cover

Roadside Assistance covers the roadside service itself β€” not vehicle damage or repairs.

You remain responsible for:

  • Replacement or repair of damaged tyres

  • Travel costs to your destination

  • Vehicle repairs

  • Accident damage

  • Any damage caused during your trip

For example, Roadside Assistance may cover the cost of towing the vehicle, but not the cost of replacing a damaged tyre.

Damage liability is governed separately under evee Protect and the Terms and Conditions for Renters.

If You Did Not Purchase Roadside Assistance

If Roadside Assistance was not selected at checkout:

  • You are responsible for arranging roadside assistance independently

  • You are responsible for all associated costs

  • evee may assist with coordination, but all costs remain your responsibility

Any costs incurred by evee on your behalf may be charged to you.

What to Do in an Emergency

If the vehicle becomes unsafe or cannot be driven:

  1. Safely bring the vehicle to a stop

  2. Move yourself and any passengers to a safe location if possible

  3. Contact evee via the chat icon at the bottom of this page, or call our emergency line on (02) 5564 0003

  4. Follow the instructions provided by evee or the roadside assistance provider
