evee Protect is an optional add-on insurance service that provides an extra layer of protection during your rental period.

Whilst evee's standard insurance covers renters up to the Damage Liability Amount, evee Protect reduces this liability down to $0 if you are found responsible for any damage to the rental vehicle — provided you are not in breach of the Terms and Conditions for Renters.

To benefit from evee Protect, you must purchase coverage before your booking begins. You can do so during checkout when requesting a booking, or at any time prior to the rental period commencing.

evee Protect covers both minor and major incidents during the period of cover purchased.

Minor damage (generally under $500 in repair costs) may include:

Major damage refers to more significant incidents that go beyond cosmetic repair and may affect the safety, functionality, or structural integrity of the vehicle. This includes frame or structural damage, extensive panel damage, and major interior damage requiring integral part replacement. Major damage typically requires an insurance claim to be lodged and is subject to the Damage Liability Fee — which evee Protect reduces to $0, subject to the Terms and Conditions for Renters.

The cost of evee Protect varies based on a number of factors. You can view the price for your specific booking at checkout when requesting a booking, or within the booking in your evee account if cover was not purchased at checkout.
