Creating Your evee Account
To book a car through evee, you will need to create and verify your account and complete the Personal Info page once verified. To get started, please follow the steps below.
Step 1:
Click on the drop-down menu located at the top-right of our homepage and select Sign Up.
Step 2:
Choose your sign-up method:
Email Sign Up: Enter your full name, email address and password.
Social Sign Up: Select either the Facebook or Google option to sign up quickly.
Step 3:
After filling out your details, you will be prompted to enter a verification code to activate your account. Please check your inbox for an email containing this code.
Setting Up and Verifying Your Account
Personal Info
To access and complete the Personal Info page, head back to the evee homepage and click on the drop-down icon at the top right. Select Account, then Personal Info.
You will need to provide the following:
Date of Birth
Mobile Phone Number
Residential Address
Driver Licence Verification
Driver Declaration Form
Driver Licence Verification
All driver licence verification sessions are securely handled through our identity verification provider. To learn more about how and why we use this process, please read our blog post: Why We Use Stripe Identity.
The process requires you to scan or upload the front and back of your driver licence, as well as take a selfie photo which will be matched against your licence. The first and last name on your evee account must match the name on your driver licence exactly in order for verification to be completed successfully.
Driver Declaration Form
The Driver Declaration Form requires you to declare your driving history. You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible to rent a car through evee:
You have at least 2 years of continuous driving experience.
You currently hold a full, unrestricted driver licence (Learner, P1 and P2 licences are not eligible).
You have not had any motor insurance refused, cancelled, or issued with special terms in the last 3 years.
You have not had any convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) or exceeding the prescribed content of alcohol (PCA) in the last 5 years.
You have not had your driver licence suspended or cancelled in the last 3 years.
You have not currently accumulated more than 9 demerit points on your licence.
If one or more of these conditions cannot be met, evee will unfortunately not be able to facilitate bookings on your account until all criteria are satisfied.
Adding a Payment Method
To add a payment method, head to the Payments & Payouts section. This can be accessed from the evee homepage by clicking on the drop-down menu, selecting Account, then Payments & Payouts.
